Summary

Description This mural in the main temple at Samye Monastery in Tibet probably dates from the 17th Century. In the centre is the w:Fifth Dalai Lama (1617-1682), on the left his Mongolian military commander, w:Gushri Khan (1582-1655) of the Oirat Mongol tribe and on the right is his Chagdzo, Desi w:Sonam Chopel, aka until 1642 Sonam Rapten.
